Kuban authorities expect to gain about 7 billion rubles tax revenues from the regional tourist industry
Kuban authorities expect tax revenues to the consolidated budget from the tourism sector of the Krasnodar Territory to constitute at least 7 billion rubles in 2012, Governor Alexander Tkachev said in an interview with Interfax.
He emphasized that in recent years Kuban consistently welcomes an annual tourist flow of 12 million people.
"It means that one third of all Russian tourists come to us to spend their holidays. This industry employs more than 100 thousand people and is among the most dynamically developing industries of our territory. Tax revenues to the regional consolidated budget in 2011 amounted to about 6.5 billion rubles, and this year we expect them to reach 7 billion ", - said Alexander Tkachev.
He added that, they are quite aware of using at the moment of just small part of this industry potential, need to improve the quality of tourism products and expansion of the range of services.
