Energy sector has the largest share of foreign investment in Georgia
According to preliminary data, Georgia received US$219.4 million of direct investments in the second quarter of 2012, out of which $74.9 million, or 34% of the total amount, was invested in energy sector.
According to Georgian deputy Minister of Energy Giorgi Kavelashvili, investor interest in energy sector is constantly growing.
The deputy Minister has said, that in the future foreign investment in the sector will increase more as the Ministry is planning to implement several major projects that will attract more investment and create new jobs.
