Bulgarian and Romanian Schengen bid is not on Brussels’ agenda

The Cypriot Presidency of the EU has canceled a meeting dedicated to the Bulgarian and Romanian Schengen bid.

This was the only topic in the meeting’s agenda but the interior ministers of Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium have declared they are against the Schengen membership of the two countries due to the current political situation in Romania. Another meeting of the EU justice ministers was also canceled.
