7 service establishments in the Danube Delta area will be incorporated into «Delta Force» paramilitary organization

New paramilitary organisation, which will take over functions of seven government service establishments, will be created in the Danube Delta within three weeks.

The new structure will be subordinated to the administration of the Danube Delta Biosphere
Reserve and will be called «Delta Force», said Romanian Minister of Environment and Forests
Rowana Plumb.

«We want anti-poaching efforts to be effective and, therefore, 10 regulatory organizations should
be replaced with a single one, but very effective,» – said the Minister.

Currently, seven governing bodies operate in the Danube Delta, among them, Administration of
the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, Border Police and Reserve Environmental Guard.
