Romanian frigate «King Ferdinand» commenced its preparation for «Atalanta» operation /PHOTO/

Lieutenant-Commander Mihai Egorov, Romanian frigate «King Ferdinand» public relations spokesman for the time of participation in the anti-piracy navy operation «Atalanta», has informed that the frigate arrived to Souda Port at the Crete Island on September 15 after the almost three-day sail.

The frigate will stay at the Greek port for a week. In the meantime the officers, the on-board crew, and the special operations forces will undertake the training at the NATO Naval Center for training of crews, taking part in the blockade, and will continue its preparation for the anti-piracy operation, which will be commenced on October 1.
