Poland says ready for energy cooperation with Turkey
Poland's Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Beata Stelmach has said that her country was ready to make cooperation with Turkey in terms of energy.
«We have been carrying out several researches in terms of producing shale gas. We will be able to produce shale gas in next three years. We import two thirds of the gas we consume and that makes energy security important for us. If we become producer, we would not be dependent on external resources, and that is very similar of Turkish energy market. If Poland becomes productive, this situation would allow us to make cooperation with Turkey. We are ready to establish a dialogue with Turkey in terms of energy,» Stelmach told Turkish reporters in Warsaw, the Polish capital.
Stelmach said that Turkey's and Poland's economic structures were powerful, and both countries should make cooperation.
«We have already been making cooperation in small and medium sized enterprises, and there is also potential power in other sectors. Energy is one of these sectors,» said Stelmach.
