Sochi will celebrate 500 days before the 2014 Olympics start

On September 25 Russia will reach another Olympic boundary - the first Russian Winter Olympic Games in Sochi will be exactly 500 days away.

Various sports and music events will take place in 17 cities of Russia.

The highlight of the holiday  will be sport contests and an all-Russian flash-mob, staged by volunteers of Sochi 2014 from 26 centres of volunteers, representing 14 Russian regions.

More than 12,000 volunteers will take part in constructing giant puzzles in the form of Olympic pictograms at squares, stadiums and indoor sports centres in their respective cities. They will assemble stylized images of all 22 winter Olympic sports.
