International technical fair opens in Bulgaria's Plovdiv
The International Technical Fair opens on September 24 in Bulgaria's southern city of Plovdiv and will continue until Saturday.
The expo, which celebrates its 120th anniversary, includes products of over 1250 companies from 43 countries, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
The 2012 edition of the International Technical Fair includes ten branch exhibitions, the best represented sectors being machine building, energy, renewable energy, ecology, water resources management, and construction.
The program of the expo will direct visitors' attention to issues relating to the green economy, top technologies, improving business conditions in Bulgaria and the ambition of Bulgarian firms to create innovations.
The 2012 edition of the International Technical Fair will be opened Monday by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
The official ceremony will be attended by Arie Brienen, President of UFI-The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, who will also take part in the festivities on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the Fair.
The majority of hotels in Plovdiv have increased rates by 60-100% during the expo.
