International exercise, simulating reaction to an earthquake has begun near Tbilisi
Exercise «Georgia-2012» is being conducted together with the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC).
«The exercise will allow NATO countries and their partners to practice procedures on elimination of natural disasters’ consequences and to improve coordination between countries in such situations,» - Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reports.
The exercise will be held through September 28, with participation of a group from Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council (EAPC) and officers from 13 countries. 60 observers will watch the exercise.
