Turkish Coast Guard ship arrived in Crimea
To the Sevastopol naval detachment of the State Border Service of Ukraine arrived Turkish coast guard ship. UNN was reported in the press service of the State Border Service.
The visit will provide joint bilateral training and exchange of experience in law enforcement and border issues to enhance readiness for joint action in the Black Sea. Note, that the corresponding activities are conducted in accordance with the Agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Turkey on cooperation of the competent authorities responsible for its maritime space in the Black Sea.
During their stay in the Crimea Turkish colleagues will work out the theoretical issues and practical sessions will be held in the sea. Will focus on the joint maneuvering during a rescue operation, communications and signaling, stopping and seeing a suspicious ships, the use of weapons and special equipment, transfer of goods on the go.
In addition, during the visit the guests are already familiar with the force of the sea and history and visit the memorial to Turkish soldiers who died in the Crimean War. Also, during the cultural program guests will visit the historical and memorable places in the city of Sevastopol and the Crimea.
Let us recall that in the framework of joint plans of border authorities of the Black Sea for 2012 Naval ships of the State Border Service of Ukraine has already twice visited foreign ports. In July, the ship "Nikolaev" of the Sevastopol Sea squad visited the port of Istanbul, and in August, the ship "Donbass" of the Kerch Sea squad visited the port of Novorossiysk.
