Human trafficking victims to be assigned right to provisionally stay in Moldova
A draft law on provisional stay permit in Moldova for foreign citizens that were victims of human trafficking had its first reading in the parliament on October 4.
Presenting the draft law, Interior Minister Dorin Recean said that certain conditions need to be met in order to assign this right to human trafficking victims.
«These people are obliged to cooperate with the relevant authorities to identify and take legal actions against those who committed the trafficking crime and to break any relations with them,» Recean said.
The right to a six-month provisional stay, with possible prolongation, is assigned upon victim's request free of charge.
