Russia’s South: beach holiday season comes to the end

State Inspection has performed work to identify unequipped places of mass holidays of general public. Inspection checks have identified 334 places of spontaneous swimming. 1033 letters with recommations to eliminate the identified deficiencies have been sent to heads of local authorities.

2992 raids have been conducted by inspectors to monitor water safety for people and small vessels navigation in summer 2012 .

In summer 2012 the number of human deaths at water sites has decreased by 13.7% compared to the same period last year, Russian EMERCOM Krasnodar Krai Directorate press service told "Sochi 24" correspondent.
