Krasnodar Krai ports exported 11 million tons of grains
For 9 months of 2012 the exports of grains and products of their processing via the sea ports of the Krasnodar Krai have amounted to almost 11 million tons – virtually a doubled result of 2011.
Major components of exports include grain crops, leguminous and oil-bearing plants – 10.3 million tons, mixed feed and components and for its production – 0.5 million tons, and cereals – 0.1 million tons.
The number of countries, importing Russian grains and products of their processing, is also growing – there are 63 of them now. The list of new buyers includes European countries (Romania, Denmark), African (Ruanda, Senegal, and Uganda) and North American countries (Mexico). Egypt is still the exports leader. More than 3.6 million tons of grains have been already shipped to this country.
