Bulgaria will stimulate electric vehicle production

The Bulgarian Council of Ministers has adopted the Nation Action Plan to promote and intensify the production of environmentally-friendly transport vehicles, including battery-driven vehicles, in Bulgaria for 2012-2014.

The objectives and plans of activities are grouped in several major areas: stimulation of production of electric and other environmentally-friendly transport vehicles in Bulgaria, including equipment and parts; stimulation of research activities to develop environmentally-friendly transport vehicles by provision of financial support; stimulation of consumption and demand for new environmentally-friendly transport vehicles; intensified development of infrastructure for charging of electric vehicles; population interest and awareness raising, etc.
