Kempinski has stopped construction in Batumi

Kempinski hotel chain has stopped construction of Kempinski Hotel in Batumi. Statement about this was placed on the hotel chain’s web page.

The statement did not clarify the reason of the work’s termination. Later, the information disappeared.

Batumi government confirms information of the construction’s halt. According to available to them information, the construction was halted temporarily, while the company’s management will monitor investment climate in Georgia.

«The company’s representative office didn’t call any other reason. They simply stated that at this stage the company's management made that decision », - noted people in the Adjara government.
