Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure initiates introduction of a new cargo control and execution mechanism at ports
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine initiates cancellation of the paper documents circulation in the process of control and execution of cargoes and transport vehicles at ports.
To substitute the existing practices, it proposes to establish an electronic information system and to put it into operation at ports – a system similar to the ones that are currently used quite successfully at the leading European ports.
The authority proposes to develop a uniform port community information system (UIS), connecting administration and production facilities of ports, stevedoring companies, controlling agencies and services (customs, sanitary, veterinary, quarantine, and others), agencies, forwarding and other companies, dealing with transportation or handling of cargoes and transport vehicles.
