Israeli Energy Ministry to invite Azerbaijan for gas extraction
Victor Baryudin, head of the section for engineering inspection of the Israeli Ministry for Energy and Water Resources, said that they planned to invite Azerbaijani specialists to extract hydrocarbons in the Mediterranean Sea, Trend reports.
Israeli territorial waters have about 2800 billion cubic meters of gas reserves. The country plans to export gas to China, Japan and Europe.
Israel consumes about 20 billion cubic meters of gas annually. It buys about 40% of the fuel in Azerbaijan. The Israeli government wants to open SOCAR petroleum stations.
