Bulgarian wine exports grow by 7.4%
The exports of Bulgarian wine for the first 3 quarters of 2012 amounted to 36 790 507 liters, which is an increase of 7.4% year on year, or 2 544 186 liters more than the period January-September 2011, when 34 246 321 liters were exported to other countries.
The data was taken from the supporting documents for the export of wine and grape products. Biggest quantities were exported to the following 5 countries: Russia, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic and the UK. These 5 countries imported 30 million liters of Bulgarian wine. The Bulgarian wine has slowly started to work its way into the Chinese market, where 1% of all imported wines came from Bulgaria.
