Two-day conference in Brussels on Bulgarians abroad

The European Parliament in Brussels is the venue of a two-day conference under the motto «Policies on the Bulgarians abroad».

In an address to the participants Vice-president Margarita Popova said that in the working out of the new policy in view of Bulgarian communities abroad it is of special importance to take into account Bulgaria’s demographic problem and the EU attitude towards migration and integration processes. She reminded that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has engaged with the creation of an electronic consulate service, which is supposed to speed up the process for servicing Bulgarian nationals abroad.
