Turkey denies rumors about construction of nuclear power plant near Bulgaria
The Turkish government has officially declared that it is not planning to construct a nuclear power plant near the Bulgarian-Turkish border.
The Turkish Еmbassy in Sofia has sent a note to the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry denying all rumors that Turkey was planning to build a NPP in the town of Igneada. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vessela Tcherneva announced that Turkey plans to build a thermal power plant in this region instead.
