Six ships called off from the Ukrainian Navy

The Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine has confirmed the resolution of the Ukrainian Minister of Defence Dmitry Salamatin and the Ukrainian Navy Commander-in-Chief Yuri Ilyin on exclusion of combatant ship and vessels from the Navy.

According to the Government resolution, due to the expiry of the service life period, loss of performance characteristics, and inexpediency of renovation, six vessels have been decommissioned: missile corvette «Kremenchug», anti-submarine corvette «Uzhgorod», base trawl-boat «Mariupol», missile boat «Kakhovka», target boat «SM-15», and training ship «Simferopo».

Ukrainian Minister of Defence Dmitry Salamatin has earlier informed that the Ukrainian Navy reached the remedial maintenance close-out phase and was ready to receive vessels from the shipbuilding industry.
