Bulgaria to require additional EUR 500 million for infrastructure in the next programming period of the EU budget
The Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov takes part in the summit of the heads of states and governments of the «Friends of the Cohesion Policy» group in Brussels.
The representatives of 16 EU member states, including Bulgaria, called on the EU to keep the funds for the Cohesion policy at the current levels. Their initiative was backed by the Presidents of the European Parliament, the European Commission and the leaders of major trade unions in Europe.
The message was sent to the forthcoming special sitting of the European Council next week, where decision about the EU long-term budget 2014-2020 will be taken. Boyko Borissov said that Bulgaria will require an additional EUR 500 million for infrastructure during the next programming period.
