Grigor Dimitrov places 48 in world rankings

The best male Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov placed among the top 50 players in the world tennis rankings in the end of October, when he defeated the Austrian tennis player Jurgen Melzer in the 1st round of the Main draw at the French Open in Paris.

This is the best performance of a Bulgarian male tennis player ever. Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic will finish 2012 as a leader in the world rankings. The Swiss player Roger Federer placed 2nd, followed by the Olympic champion Andy Murray.
