Odessa International Airport tallied up summer navigation of 2012

Odessa International Airport has defined leaders among airlines, getting the highest results for the season. Diplomas in various nominations have been presented to representatives of partnering airlines.

According to the Airport’s press service, AEROSVIT Airlines has become the absolute leader in the number of flights and transported passengers, flying 186.2 thousand passengers and making 2431 flights over the period from March 25 till October 28. AEROSVIT has also received the title of the “Leader on international flights passengers”.

The leading position on the number of the CIS flights passengers has been awarded to Russian TRANSAERO Company, conducting regular flights from Odessa to Moscow for many years.

45% passengers of internal Ukrainian destinations have preferred the flights of “Ukraine International Airlines”, making this carrier the Airport leader in this segment.

WINDROSE Airlines has become the charter flights leader, flying to Anatolia and Sharm el-Sheikh.

The highest commercial result has been shown by SIBIR Airlines (Russia), which started flying to Odessa International Airport in June 2012. The average of 87% of seats have been sold at “S7” flights, carried out by a 128-seat Airbus 319.

The leadership in the business aviation segment is still maintained by “Air Link Int” (Canada), carrying out almost 400 flights in the season.

“Turkish Airlines” (Turkey) has become the leader in the cargo transportation segment, getting the 59% share of the total Airport freight turnover.

“LOT Polish Airlines” has won in the “Best financial discipline” category.

The best punctuality based on the results of t summer navigation of 2012 has been shown by “TRANSAERO”, since the majority of its flights arrived and left right on time.
