Kuban plans to have a chain of yacht marinas

Krasnodar Krai authorities have declared that currently they are in development of the yacht tourism development concept.

According to Yevgeniy Kudel, Krai Resort and Tourism Minister, at present they develop the financial and economical model of the project.

This project has been already presented at the last investment forum in Sochi. Supposedly the Black Sea coast will have four basic areas of principal marinas and eight ones for guests.

Krasnodar Krai is the first Russian region, rushing for yachtsmen. Two yacht marinas are now under construction in Sochi – they plan to host 380 yachts here.

One of them is being erected along with the major Sochi port. The second one will appear at the Imeretin Valley. At present the «Imeretin» port works as a cargo port, but in future it will have a marina for 930 yachts. In addition to Sochi, the plans are to locate marinas in the Tuapse district, Gelendzhik, Novorossiysk, and Anapa.
