Two Crimean sites - in UNESCO World Heritage list
Cultural and historical monuments of Bakhchysaray have been included in preliminary list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This has been announced by the AR Crimea Republican Committee on Cultural Heritage chairperson Mrs. Larisa Opanasyuk.
According to her, two complexes have been added to UNESCO’s preliminary list. These are «Historical environment of the Crimean Khans capital in Bakhchysaray», which includes historic areas of Salanchic and Eski Yurt, cave town Chufut-Kale, six türbe tombs, the palace of Crimean Khans; and the «Cultural landscape of cave towns of Crimean Gothia», consisting of cave towns Mangup Kale and Eski-Kermen.
