Christmas Fair to open downtown Bucharest, above newly finalized car park

This year Bucharest’s City Hall is organizing a Viennese Christmas Fair in Universitatii Square, above the newly finalized underground car park.

Some 75 stalls with Romanian traditional goodies and other products will be selling their wares alongside a 15 meter Christmas tree and a stage for different events.

There will also be Christmas Carols and concerts, as well as the big switching on of 2.7 million of Christmas lights on December 5. The idea for the event came from the Austrian National Tourist Office, which promotes tourism in the region.
