Unemployment in Romania declines
While the EU unemployment rates remain stable, a positive trend has been recorded in Romania.
To date, the pre-crisis level data of 6.9% has been recorded in the country, which is down from last month by 0.1%. For the first time since 2009 the unemployment is below 7%.
According to Eurostat, the number of working age unemployed in Romania is lower than in other EU countries: only five countries have managed to capture the best indicator (Sweden, Austria, Lithuania and Ireland), while the average EU data amounted to 11.7%.
Today 26 ths jobs are vacant in Romania, most people are needed in areas of health and social work, as well as in the mining sector, which lacks eight thousand people.
