Brussels launched investigation into Bulgarian Energy Holding activities

The European Commission has formally notified the Bulgarian Energy Holding and the Bulgarian Agency for Protection of Competition, about the start of an investigation into the Holding’s abuse of the dominant position on Bulgaria’s electricity wholesale market.

The EC is concerned that through territorial restrictions Bulgarian Energy Holding may impede competition in Bulgarian wholesale electricity market.
