Two thirds of the world's cruise companies send their vessels to the Black Sea with calls in Odesa
CONTEXT-PRICHERNOMORIE agency correspondent informed that Odesa Commersial Sea Port ’s press service reported on DECEMBER 10th, 2012 that 33 of 48 world's cruise companies send their vessels to the Black Sea with calls in Odesa Sea Port.
According to the press service, 79 applications for the entering to the Odesa Sea Port in 2013 have been already confirmed (the maximum number of calls for the whole period of the passenger terminal after the collapse of the Black Sea Shipping Company).
The number of cruise companies sent their vessels to the Black Sea with calls in Odesa remains high: 33 of the 48 world cruise companies. Among them 3 companies (FTI Cruises, Peace Boat, Passat Kreuzfahrten GmbH) became the port’s partners this year. 10 ships called in the Odesa port for the first time in 2012 (in 2011 ― 9).
The press service also reminded since 2008 MSC Cruises company began practicing autumn series of circular cruises «Panorama of the Mediterranean» on the M/V MSC Opera. In spring the company offers a new Mediterranean route from Odesa to Genoa by the M/V MSC Lirica.
“The new and the most interesting event of the passenger navigation 2013 promises to be the circular Black Sea cruise on the M/V Azamara Journey with calls to the ports of Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Turkey, Bulgaria and Romania. The first visit in Odesa port of the M/V Azamara Journey is scheduled for 30 May. The second call scheduled for 27 August”, the press-service added.
