Gazetteer for foreigners developed in Sochi

A new gazetteer has been developed in Sochi as part of the Olympic linguistic project. It has been translated into two languages: English and French.

The gazetteer includes names of streets, districts, communities, rivers and mountains, located on the resort’s territory. Addresses of health resort industry enterprises, educational, medical, sports organizations, entertainment centres and cultural sites are included in the gazetteer as well. The new gazetteer contains the location and description of all tourist and excursion routes. Besides, the authors translated into English and French addresses and names of most monuments of architecture in Sochi with information about their history and former owners.
