NBM’S reserve assets hit new record figure of US$2,438 mln
The official reserve assets of the National Bank of Moldova [NBM] increased US$16 million in the first week of December and reached a new record-breaking figure of US$2,438 million as of December 7.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, the main part of assets is kept in governmental securities - US$1,404 million (+US$2 million) and deposits - US$1,023 million (+16 million).
The latest record was reached on October 19, when the reserves hit US$2,434 million. Since early 2012, the reserve assets have increased by US$473 million.
