Deposits of Moldovan banks reach US$3.15 billion in December

As of December 1, 2012, the overall amount of deposits in Moldovan banks stood at 38.2 billion lei (US$3.15 billion), increasing over 380 million lei in November 2012.

BC Victoriabank S.A. leads in terms of deposits’ amount, which exceeded 8 billion lei (US$661 million). BC Moldova-Agroindbank S.A. ranks second with 7.52 billion lei (US$621 million), being followed by Banca de Economii, with 4.9 billion lei (US$405 million).

As for of retail deposits, Moldova-Agroindbank S.A. ranks first, having 5.8 billion lei. BC Victoriabank S.A. ranks second with 4.8 billion lei and is followed by Banca de Economii, with 3.7 billion lei in retail deposits.

In terms of credit activities, BC Moldova-Agroindbank S.A is an absolute leader, with a credit portfolio of 7.3 billion lei. BC Victoriabank S.A. ranks second with 6 billion lei and BC Moldindconbank S.A. holds the third position with 5.2 billion lei in loan portfolios.
