Russian group to own «Borjomi»

«Borjomi» mineral water producer has found a buyer, Business Georgia informs.

A part of ALFA Group will become a co-owner of IDS Borjomi. The family of Badri Patarkatsishvili heirs will still have a minority share of the business, the assets of which are still under arrest both in Russia and Ukraine. This is the only circumstance that can impede the deal.

The deal on the sale of IDS Borjomi control packet of shares must be closed until the end of 2102. The sources state that the deal amount may be approximately $300 million.

The list of pretenders for this asset included Standard Capital, TPG, Klever Asset Management, Joint Stock Financial Company SISTEMA, a fund, closely connected with ALFA Group, and one of the funds, closely connected with International Chess Federation President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.
