Large dam construction discussed in Adjara

A spokesman of the Ministry for Finances and Economy of Adjara said at the Supreme Council that construction of large dams will not threaten environment.

Spokeswoman of Adjaristskali, Nino Diasamidze, noted that about $12 million were invested in dam construction. Families will receive compensations for the land that will be acquired for dam construction which starts in April.

Benefits from building the dams have not been named yet.
