Turkish Airlines cancels 49 flights

Turkish Airlines (THY) cancelled some of its domestic and international flights which were scheduled for January 8.

THY cancelled 49 domestic and international flights on January 8 due to heavy snowfall in Istanbul.

Planes of British Airways (London-Istanbul flight) and KLM Airways (Amsterdam-Istanbul) were directed to Adnan Menderes Airport in western Izmir city as they were not able to land in Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on January 7.
