The biggest bell in the Crimea with the weight of 13 tons will be cast in Sevastopol to mark the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus', Sevastopol district Dean Archpriest Sergei Halyuta said.
Sergei Halyuta announced that it will be a gift from the administration of the city, sponsors and citizens. The bell will feature the engraved words of honor and gratitude to St. Vladimir.
Archpriest also mentioned that plenty of Orthodox churches were built and restored last year. They are: the Confessor St. Luke’s Church in the first municipal hospital, the Chapel of Alexander Nevsky, the Church of the Holy Hieromartyr of Chersonesus.
