Azerbaijani families with only one child to be free from conscription

Azerbaijani families with only one child may be relieved from conscription, a member of the parliamentary committee for defense and security Zahid Orudzh said, APA reports.

Such norm used to be in force until 2008. Orudzh believes the only child of a family should serve in the rear. There are tens of thousands of families with only one child in Azerbaijan. Such relief may stimulate birth reduction, he reminds.
