ISS says all cyber attacks successfully thwarted in Moldova

All the cyber attacks against the Moldovan state institutions have been successfully thwarted by specialists of the Information and Security Service (ISS), according to a press release published on January 17.  

According to the press release, similar incidents had been recorded in the past too, including in the information systems of the ISS.  Over the past year, hacker attempts against the information systems of the central public authorities have been recorded in Moldova.   

In this respect, the ISS worked out a string of recommendations for users and operators, in order to protect the state institutions from information leakage. The Moldovan Anti-Terrorist Center is dealing with this issue.

«Besides the obvious benefits, the electronic communication development is also creating some problems. According to the legislation in effect, which envisages the prevention and struggle against cyber offences, the Information and Security Service is systematically monitoring the national and regional virtual space in order to secure the IT security in the country,» says the press release.
