Patriot missiles from Netherlands arrive in Turkey
Patriot missiles from Netherlands have arrived at Port Iskanderun in Turkey, Anadolu reports.
Turkey requested NATO to provide it with missiles for protection against Syrian artillery shots. The US, Germany and Netherlands provided 2 missile systems each. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that the systems will be returned as soon as the conflict on the border ends.
Patriot missiles and 400 US soldiers are expected to arrive in late January. Some arrived in Gaziantep in early January. 27 US soldiers will monitor deployment of the missile systems.
