EC refers Bulgaria to EU Court

The EC has decided to initiate two court trials against Bulgaria before the EU Court of Justice.

The first one is on the delayed implementation of the internal energy market’s rules and the commission proposes the imposing of a serious daily fine of some EUR 17,000 to Bulgaria. The other case is related to the permits for digital terrestrial television (DTT). The reasons pointed are violations of the right of free competition.
