In 2012 Ukrainian seaports handled 160.6 mln tonnes of freight

According to operational data, in 2012, all Ukrainian sea ports (both state-owned enterprises and private terminals) handled 160.64 mln tonnes of freight.

According to port.odessa.ua, the share of 18 government-owned ports comprised 109.8 million tonnes (68.4% of the total amount handled).

Government-owned seaports handled about 33.9 mln tonnes of transit, 64.8 mln tonnes of export and 9.36 million tonnes of import cargoes.

By the results of last year’s work, 18 government-owned ports transferred more than 1.55 billion UAH to Ukraine’s state budget.

Meanwhile, all enterprises of sea and river transport sector, that fall under the control of the Ministry of Infrastructure, paid to Ukraine’s state budget for 2012 the total amount of more than 1.94 billion UAH.
