Japanese corporation to open a factory in Moldova

A representative of the Japanese translational company visited Moldova last week to examine investment opportunities offered by industrial platforms of Chisinau, Balti, Straseni and Soroca.

The visit represents the last phase of making the investment decision. The report is to be submitted to the Board of Directors of the corporation shortly.

The visit to Moldova to investigate investment opportunities and identify local partners was organized under support of Moldova’s Investment and Export Promotion Organization (MIEPO), which provided information about an investment climate in Moldova and organized meetings with representatives of companies of Moldova.

Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems headquarters in Newcastle, the Great Britain, and specializes in manufacture of electric cable for motor industry. The company partners with largest care producers, including Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault and others.
