Sofia hosts first regional conference on Gas Perspectives
The liberalization of the gas market and the development of gas relations are the basic subjects of the first regional gas conference held in Sofia under the title «gas perspectives».
The aim of the conference is to bring together all sides of the issue: gas suppliers and pipeline operators, distributor companies, companies for the exploration and production of oil and gas, service suppliers, construction companies, financial institutions among others. Upon opening the forum, Bulgarian Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism Delian Dobrev said that two European and one American company have bought papers for exploration and production of gas in the Terres block off the southern shore of the Black Sea. According to him Bulgaria has two strategic goals – local gas production and diversification of gas supplies from abroad.
