Moldovan companies participate in international exhibition in Moscow

A number of Moldovan companies exhibit food products and alcoholic beverages at the 20th issue of the international specialised exhibition «Prodexpo», in Moscow, 11-15 February. The participation of Moldovan companies in the event, is backed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) in partnership with the Moldovan Embassy to Russia.

According to the head of the CCI’s department for exhibitions and fairs, Marina Petrova, Moldovan companies like «Chateau Vartely», «Renaissance Perfect», «Azamet Grup», «Wine and brandy factory Kvint» and «Purcari Winery»  participate in the event.

«Russia is one of Moldova’s main trade partners. The exhibition offers a good opportunity to promote Moldovan goods on the Russian market as well as outside it, mainly because over 2500 companies from 55 states participate in the exhibition «Prodexpo 2013» and 29 states will have national stands,» Petrova said.

Moldovan economic agents will organise tastings and product presentations and will participate in business meetings. A number of ten Moldovan companies will participate in the international contest «Product of the year», held within the exhibition,» Petrova said.

According to Petrova, Moldovan stands will be visited by Russian officials, representatives of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, businessmen from CIS countries and mass media representatives.

Moldovan Ambassador to Russia Andrei Galbur held a meeting with Moldovan businessmen, today, after the official inauguration of the exhibition. The sides discussed issues related to the export of Moldovan goods to Russia.

The international exhibition «Prodexpo» is recognised by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). It also offers a wide business programme, including conferences, roundtables, master classes and contests. The exhibition space reaches over 85 thousand square meters, which are divided on 17 topical subdivisions and cover the entire nomenclature of food products, alcoholic beverages, production and packaging equipment.

The Moldovan CCI has been annually organising the participation of Moldovan companies in more than 15 issues of the international exhibition «Prodexpo».
