Azerbaijan and Georgia to discuss Baku-Tbilisi-Kars progress
The Azerbaijani-Georgian council for coordination of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway construction will have a session in Tbilisi on February 13, attended by Azerbaijani Minister and Transportation Ziya Mamedov and Georgian Minister for Economy Irakly Kvirikashvili, Deputy Minister for Economy Dmitry Kumsiashvili, head of the transportation department of the ministry Ketevan Salukvadze and acting Director General of the Georgian Railway Oleg Bichiashvili.
They will discuss construction of the Georgian section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars-Marabda-Kartsakhi Railway.
The railway will have traffic of 17 million tons of cargo a year. Azerbaijan finances construction of the Georgian section with a loan worth $775.
