In 2012 foreign investments in Kuban’s economy rose by 1.4 times
Total amount of foreign investment in Krasnodar Krai in 2012 comprised 1.107 billion USD, which is 1.4 times more than in 2011, Yuga reports.
Direct investment increased by 1.8 times to US$ 455.1 million, or 41.1%. The overwhelming majority of direct foreign investment came in the form of loans received from foreign co-owners. Significant portion of direct investment was directed to the manufacturing industry (50.0%), of which 24.8% went to the production of machinery and equipment, and 22.3% to food and tobacco industry. Foreign investments came from 40 countries. Major investors - Cyprus, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, the United States and Luxembourg (88.6% of the total).
