1.5 thousand Sochi residents have attended courses of English

Since September 2011, 1,5 thousand of Sochi residents have attended short-term courses of English. In 2013, the city administration continues to implement this linguistic project, Live Kuban informs.

In every district of the city they assigned schools where volunteer teachers give free of charge group classes on Sundays. «Our volunteer teachers from the Sochi branch of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) and the Sochi State University (SGU) have taught basic skills of spoken English to the city’s residents. Residents have had opportunity to learn several phrases in English, which in the future will help them communicate with foreign guests at elementary level», - said representative of Sochi City Administration Department of Education and Science Mrs. Elena Sigareva.
