Iranian export to Azerbaijan increases by 33%
Iran has increased exports through Astara (Azerbaijan) by 33% in the year ending in March.
Iran had exported products worth $36 million in 11 months, director of the Astara customs office Jakhangir Bahshi said. The weight of products increased by 18%.
Most goods were exported by tourists. 528,000 people crossed the border in the last 11 months.
Iranian agricultural products will exceed a total weight of 118 million tons, Iranian Minister for Agriculture Sadeq Halilian said. Exports in the first 8 months of the current year of Iran increased by 15%, compared with the previous.
