Greenlight to Romanian Post Office's privatization
The Ministry of Information Society (MSI) published the announcement of the Romanian National Post Company (CNPR) privatization, in the Romanian media, and this with the view to selecting the investor to take over 51 percent of the Company through increasing the Company's share capital.
The announcement will be soon published in the international media, too
Communication Minister Dan Nica said last week that over ten companies showed interest in the privatization of the Romanian Post Company, stressing he expects the privatization process to end in June, 2013. The eligible investors will be selected by mid May, and their list is drawn up by early April, and the privatization agreement is signed by mid June, this year.
The Romanian Post Company is the biggest post services supplier whose territorial network numbers 7,100 post offices and more than 32,000 employees. The Romanian State holds 75 percent and the Proprietatea Fund 25 percent of the Company's stocks.
